The Phoenix Enhancing The Spirit LLC, is a Certified Woman Owned Company founded by Ebony Sharrieff in February 2021. We are a community-based business located in Gary, Indiana. We are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the mind, body, soul, and spirit through our services and products.
Ebony Sharrieff is a wellness educator and the visionary founder of The Phoenix Enhancing The Spirit LLC, where she designs and facilitates evidence-informed programming that advances individual and collective well-being. Grounded in a holistic framework, Ebony integrates environmental trauma education, nutrition literacy, healthcare awareness, organic tastings, mindfulness practices, and practical stress-reduction strategies to serve diverse communities with intention and impact.
Her work supports community success initiatives by strengthening the foundational wellness habits that directly influence focus, sustained energy, mental clarity, and emotional resilience. Through strategic partnerships with like-minded leaders, organizations, and institutions, Ebony cultivates environments where individuals feel grounded, supported, and empowered to thrive—personally, academically, and professionally.

Biography | Meet the Artist
Ebony Sharrieff is a multidisciplinary Black American artist born and raised on Chicago’s South Side in Harvey, Illinois. A wife, mother, designer, urban farmer, spiritual reader, mentor, community leader, and business owner, she made the intentional decision to plant her roots in Gary, Indiana—committing her life and work to community restoration and cultural healing.
Grounded in the belief that we must embody the change we wish to see, Ebony has worked alongside grassroots organizations such as The People’s Lobby and Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation (S.O.U.L.), supporting local and national efforts that advocate for justice, equity, and empowerment within marginalized communities.
Ebony’s artistic journey began as a path toward personal healing. Raised in a single-parent household, she endured significant life challenges throughout her adolescence and adulthood, including emotional, physical, and sexual trauma, the loss of her first-born child, divorce, environmental trauma, depression, and PTSD. In the midst of navigating these experiences, she turned to painting as a transformative outlet teaching herself to create as a way to process, release, and reframe her pain into purpose.
What began as survival evolved into calling.
Through bold visual storytelling, Ebony channels both personal and collective energy into her work. Her art explores themes of resilience, spiritual alignment, environmental awareness, ancestral healing, and the reclamation of identity. Each piece serves as both reflection and invitation—encouraging viewers to confront, honor, and transmute their lived experiences into empowered self-expression.
Ebony believes that creative expression is a sacred tool for awakening. Her purpose is to inspire others to align with their own unique spirit, guided by their life experiences, intuition, and inner truth.
